The Feast of St. Joseph was joyfully celebrated on 22 March 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Phuket, bringing together a vibrant and diverse community of faithful for a deeply meaningful occasion.
The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Bishop Paul Trairong Multree of the Diocese of Suratthani, joined by our Parish Priest, Rev. John Pipat, along with several visiting priests from neighboring parishes. The presence of clergy from across the diocese added to the solemnity and unity of the celebration, reflecting the shared faith and fellowship of the wider Church.
The liturgy was marked by a spirit of reverence and thanksgiving, as parishioners, religious, benefactors, and visitors gathered in large numbers. The congregation also included tourists from various countries, highlighting the universal nature of the Church and the welcoming spirit of the parish community.
A particularly joyful highlight of the celebration was the reception of the sacraments by members of the parish. Six individuals received their First Holy Communion for the very first time, while another six were strengthened in their faith through the Sacrament of Confirmation. These milestones were moments of grace not only for the recipients but also for the entire community, who witnessed and supported them in their spiritual journey.
Following the Mass, the celebration continued with a time of fellowship on the church grounds. Light meals were generously prepared and shared, thanks to the dedication and generosity of parish members and sponsors. The gathering provided an opportunity for everyone to connect, share stories, and celebrate together in a warm and joyful atmosphere.
The Feast of St. Joseph this year was truly a memorable occasion; one that strengthened faith, fostered unity, and reflected the vibrant life of the Church in Phuket. It stands as a testament to the enduring devotion of the community and the blessings that come from coming together in faith and service.
